THEY TOLD YOU TO CLEAN YOUR ROOMThey told you to get organized. They told you a lot of things, but no one showed you how to do it. Getting organized can feel overwhelming, even impossible. But it's a skill you can learn, and it's easier than you think. And here's a secret...

IT'S NOT ABOUT THROWING EVERYTHING AWAYThis isn't about perfection or throwing out everything you own. It's about putting your life in order so you can take back control rather than your environment controlling you. Move through your day relaxed, composed, and with ease and control.

How Did You Find That? Four Habits From Chaos To Control is a method broken into four practical, easy-to-implement solutions.

1. Seeing

2. Grouping

3. Containing

4. Storing

Work through the habits and exercises in the order listed to change the way you think about clutter and disorganization. And don't be surprised when your new skills spread to other areas of your life.

THE BACKSTORYHow did you find that? That's what my neighbor I asked a few years ago when she needed my help reviving a crashed computer. I told her I'd be over in a few minutes but needed to grab a diagnostic disk (okay, so it was more than a few years ago). When I arrived at her door a few minutes later as promised my neighbor was shocked - wide eyes, gaping mouth shocked. She pointed to the disk in my hand and said, ""How Did You Find That?""

What did she mean, How did I find that? At first her confusion didn't register with me. I didn't know her well and had never been in her home. Then I walked through the front door and understood. She was living in chaos. There were piles everywhere. Clean or dirty, it was hard to tell. The bed was not made, and her laundry was heaped on the mattress. She could not find a thing she owned in her own small apartment. At the time I don't think I was able to give her an answer that she could use. But her question stayed with me. The answer to her question, How Did You Find That? is in this book.
