Stanislav J. Kirschbaum is professor emeritus of international studies at York University, Glendon College, Toronto, Canada. He is a specialist in Slovak studies and the author of the first comprehensive English language history of Slovakia. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and an officer of the Ordre des Palmes académiques de France.
