"Do you suffer from ""Pony Fever?""

Have you been waiting a long time to add a horse to your family?

Have you carefully considered a match between you and your new equine buddy?

Have you decided exactly where he's going to live and how you're going to keep him happy?

Do you have moments when the idea of bringing a horse into your life is scary?

Horses are unlike any other animal companion. They're too big to live in your house, so they have to live in specialized homes of their own. They have specific diet requirements, and they need a regular vet and farrier care to keep them healthy and happy. They're big, dangerous, and highly opinionated. And you absolutely can't wait to have one of your own!

In Help! I Bought a New Horse!: What First Time Horse Owners Need to Know About Grooming, Riding, Training, and Horse Care, author Meredith Hill helps newcomers to the horse world navigate the wild landscape of:

✓ Finding the horse of your dreams... whatever that means

✓ Determining the best possible living situation for your horse

✓ Getting organized for bringing your horse home

✓ Learning how to communicate with your new horse

✓ Choosing the activities you'd like to try with your horse

This volume includes Meredith Hill's previous books to provide a full, comprehensive guide to the first few years of horse ownership and well beyond:

★ Before Your Horse Comes Home: Introductory Horse Care for Beginners

"Meredith Hill is a very ""horsey"" person who grew up in a very non-horsey environment. Still, armed with endless determination, she is now proud to count over 30 years of participation in the equestrian community. Ms.Hill has spent many years participating in the ultimate equestrian networking activity: cleaning stalls. Her manure technician skills have provided her with insight into a USDF competition barn, several A-circuit hunter barns, an American Warmblood breeding facility, an equine rescue and rehabilitation center, and a more private, backyard barns than she can remember. Through these connections, she's been able to dabble in a wide variety of disciplines including dressage, hunter/jumper, reining, western pleasure, trail riding, three-day eventing, and barrel racing.Given the diversity of her experiences, Ms. Hill has learned a great deal about horses and horse keeping. She has attended and participated in seminars and clinics with top equestrians, including Jane Savoie, John Lyons, Jim Wofford, and Lendon Gray. Though she competed with her college's Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team, she stepped away from the show ring after college to focus on horse care and rehabilitation. Today, she dabbles in dressage with her off the track Thoroughbred gelding, Red, and her AQHA mare, Belle.Download your free checklist now!If you've ever checked out an equine supply website or stopped by a tack shop, you might find your head swimming regarding all of the stuff people buy to help them care for their horses.
