A woman's journey to find a special place in the world.

Fiery and ambitious, brilliant architect Francey Spinetti is a young woman on her way to the top. When wealthy magnate CJ Ambrose introduces her to his vast North Queensland business empire and a career-scarred local cop, Steve Parish, everything seems to be falling into place, including her love life. But the harsh outback landscape holds more secrets than Francey could possibly have imagined, and more enemies too.

CJ's family seem determined to eliminate Francey from the picture – whatever the cost. As CJ's cattle empire becomes embroiled in murder, and Steve puts his life on the line to clear the name of the woman he loves, Francey will need to call on all her strength and determination to survive ...

Born and bred in Sydney, Lynne Wilding worked at a variety of office jobs and as a caberet singer under the name 'Linda Gaye' in the 1960's. She began writing seriously in 1981 and her first novel, a romance entitled The Sheikh, was published internationally in 1991. She continued to write bestsellers until her death in 2007, with Heart of the Outback, Whispers Through the Pines, Turn Left at Bindi Creek, This Time Forever and 52 Waratah Avenue being outstanding successes. Lynne was the inaugural president of Romance Writers of Australia Inc in 1991, an association that grew considerably under her commitment and expertise. Kate Hood is one of Bolinda's most popular narrators and receives regular praise from listeners, authors and reviewers alike. Her seamless delivery and outstanding characterisations make the most extraordinary stories even more compelling. Kate has worked extensively in radio and in television both in Australia and New Zealand. Her theatre credits include Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, Chicago and Sweet Charity. Bolinda audiobooks narrated by Kate include Tears of the Moon by Di Morrissey (winner of an AudioFile magazine Earphones Award), Turn Left at Bindi Creek by Lynne Wilding and Craft for a Dry Lake by Kim Mahood.
