Renée Beer is a clinical psychologist, cognitive behavioral therapist, EMDR Europe accredited trainer in EMDR with children & adolescents, and certified trainer in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She chairs the EMDR Europe Child & Adolescent Trainers, works in private practice and coordinated a trauma center in the past. Renée provides trainings together with Carlijn de Roos and publishes about the treatment of children with trauma-related problems. She specialized in the treatment of patients with an eating disorder with CBT and EMDR and published about both. Currently she is involved in international projects disseminating EMDR and TF-CBT in Ukraine. Carlijn de Roos is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist working with children and adolescents with PTSD, other trauma-related symptoms and/or suffering from persistent physical symptoms like chronic pain. She currently works at Levvel, the Academic Centre for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Amsterdam University Medical Centre (AMC). In addition to her clinical work, she is an EMDR consultant and an EMDR trainer for children & adolescents accredited by EMDR Europe. She previously served as the president of the EMDR Association the Netherlands and currently chairs the EMDR Europe Child & Adolescent Committee. Carlijn is also a senior researcher and member of several research committees. Her doctoral thesis focused on time-limited trauma-focused treatment for children and adolescents.
