Reverend Rebecca M. Bryan was ordained into the Unitarian Universalist Ministry in 2015 after a three-decade career in nonprofit management and fundraising. She is a lifelong Unitarian and commits her ministry to the healing powers of love for individuals, communities, and the world. She believes that no one is free until we are all free and that all healing is reciprocal. When we heal ourselves, we help to heal the world, and as the world heals, we all heal. Rev. Rebecca is a mother of four adult children and three grandchildren. She and her husband live with their beloved dog, Charlotte, on the North Shore of Massachusetts. When not working for justice and building community, she is either writing, doing yoga, or playing in the ocean with her family and friends.
I've read, preached, and listened to a lot of sermons. Many have been blah. NEVER blah, Rev. Rebecca's sermons are unlike all others. Her voice is strong, empathetic, and clear: her honesty and vulnerability, all are pristine, centering, and breathtakingly beautiful. She enlarges my vision and heart. Unitarian Universalism has recently adopted an identity with ""love at the center."" As Rev. Rebecca says, ""May ours be a place where love grows."" She is a cultivator of love. Never blah. ALWAYS AH! and AHA! Rev. John Gibbons, Emeritus The First Parish in Bedford, Massachusetts Reverend Rebecca is the one we were waiting for to lead our church into its Fourth Century. Her ministry and message are ones of love and hope, with connection and justice at their center. May her words inspire you as they do us each week. John Mercer, lifelong member of FRSUU, Chair Rev. Rebecca Search Committee Reverend Rebecca Bryan preaches directly from the delicate balance of heart and mind. She instinctively knows that a good, and instructive idea is less so if not grounded in one's spiritual foundation. These sermons provide nurturing - and challenging! - insights into both. Into life itself. What a gift to be guided by her wisdom and joy. Rev. Carolyn Patierno, Minister, All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation in New London, Connecticut
