Dr. N. K. Venkataramana is a renowned neurosurgeon and the Founder Chairman of BRAINS Super Specialty Hospital, Bangalore. He completed his neurosurgical training at NIMHANS, where he later served as Assistant Professor. Dr. Venkataramana went on to establish leading neuro-institutes, including the Manipal Institute of Neurological Disorders and the BGS Institute of Neurosciences. With over 35 years of experience, he has made significant contributions across various fields of neurosurgery. As the visionary behind India's first GPS-enabled trauma care network (1062), he pioneered pre-hospital emergency services in Bangalore. Dr. Venkataramana is a widely published, internationally respected scholar, honoured with numerous awards, including the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award and the Sir C. V. Raman Centenary Award from Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
