This book tells the story of the Most Ancient Church, the very first church since creation, relating the narrative of the Garden of Eden. That period was the Golden Age of human history, spanning from the first chapter of Genesis up until the Great Flood in the seventh chapter. These early chapters of Genesis are highly poetic in style, full of symbolism and allegory. This book endeavors to unpack these symbols and allegories one by one to understand the changes in the state of life for the people of the ancient era and their relationship with God.

This book posits that the Most Ancient church, or Golden Age, occurred during the era of Early Homo Sapiens hundreds of thousands of years ago. At that time, people possessed a conjunction of Will and Understanding, and could be described as ""those who know from birth,"" as they had an inner illumination and intuition. They inwardly received the influx of the Lord, thereby perceiving good and truth, and thus understanding the things of heaven and eternal life. Innocence existed in this age. The people of the Most Ancient Church performed good from a principle of goodness which was celestial, and is therefore represented by Gold. In the Bible, this state is described by the Garden of Eden. Later, the descendants of the Most Ancient Church rejected the influx from the Lord and turned instead to external sensory knowledge. Thus, they became fallen. Their descent became increasingly wild, and when the Flood came, the Most Ancient Church perished. The Flood was the Lord's Judgment upon the Most Ancient Church.
