Randall Tan works on strategic assisted translation technology projects with the ETEN Innovation Lab. He previously served as Senior Director of Bible Technology Strategy at Biblica. Before Clear Bible, Inc. merged with Biblica, he spent 15 years at Clear in leadership roles that included Vice President of Innovation, Product Management, and Biblical Research. For more than two decades, he has developed original-language digital resources to make the Greek and Hebrew Bibles more accessible, including The Cascadia Syntax Graphs of the New Testament (Logos). His publications include essays and edited volumes with Bloomsbury, Brill, Sheffield Phoenix, and Pickwick, as well as The Pauline Writings: An Annotated Bibliography (with Mark Seifrid). Dr. Tan's work bridges biblical scholarship, linguistics, and digital innovation. His Galatians: A Discourse Commentary exemplifies his distinctive approach--integrating linguistic analysis and theological insight to reveal the structure and flow of Paul's message.
""Randall Tan's close reading of the structure of Paul's argument in Galatians provides numerous tips for understanding the letter. His work is a welcome and useful contribution."" --Mark A. Seifrid, Professor of Exegetical Theology Emeritus, Concordia Seminary ""Understanding the structure and flow of discourse in the Epistles is crucial for grasping their message. Randall Tan, in this excellent study on Galatians, helps readers understand how a linguistic approach helps us perceive the argument and the meaning of Galatians. Sometimes linguistic approaches are difficult to grasp for ordinary readers, but Tan clearly communicates the benefits of the approach, and in doing so he unfolds the meaning of the letter for readers today."" --Thomas R. Schreiner, Associate Dean, School of Theology, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary ""Randall Tan provides a fresh reading of Galatians focusing on the Greek text, discourse analysis, and insights from modern linguistics. This commentary is not simply a rehash of what others have said about Galatians but presents Tan's own conclusions based on his careful study. This will be a great resource for those wanting a concise yet profound understanding of one of Paul's most significant letters."" --Benjamin L. Merkle, Dr. M. O. Owens Jr. Chair of New Testament Studies, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary
