'The previous edition - one of the best on air-breathing propulsion - is now even better, with content reorganized to be even clearer, while retaining its good balance between underlying thermodynamic and fluid dynamic fundamentals and their application in analyzing components and systems. The result is a very strong introductory text on this subject.' Werner J.A. Dahm, Arizona State University and Former Chief Scientist of the U.S. Air Force 'The most detailed book on gas turbines I know. A tremendous treasure of knowledge and ideally suited to students and professionals who really want to understand the function of a jet engine or gas turbine.' Hanns-Jürgen Lichtfuss, Technical University of Munich
