Airport planning, especially the airside, is based on strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Ravi Lakshmanan is an Advisor to GMR Airports and is based in India. He has worked in the aviation industry for over 30 years, and since retiring in 2016 he has worked as an airport planning advisor for GMR. His areas of expertise are delivering cost-effective infrastructure planning that meets regulatory criteria; revenue and cost analyses for airport operations; and techno-economic feasibility of airport planning operations. He is also a guest lecturer at the Indian Aviation Academy.
