Tyler Hayes is an experienced police canine handler as well as a certified Law Enforcement Canine Trainer. He is also a certified Law Enforcement General Instructor, and holds an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the state of North Carolina. He, along with mentor and business partner Tim Braddy, own and operate East Coast Canine Inc. located in eastern North Carolina. Tyler has had the opportunity to train canines and canine handlers for many law enforcement agencies across the United States. Tyler has served as a K9 Handler in the Patrol Division and Special Operations Division of his law enforcement agency. During his time in the Special Operations Division he was assigned to the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT). Tyler has conducted numerous K9 operations with many federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to include: The Federal Bureau of Investigation SWAT, The U.S. Marshals Service, The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, NC Alcohol Law Enforcement, NC Highway Patrol, and the NC Department of Public Safety. Tyler is a member of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) where he also serves as a Region 2 Trial Judge.
