Growing up in a land-locked city, Chris Brown only started surfing in his late 20's. Already an accomplished professional, his obsession with the surf began just in time to save him from an existence that revolved solely around work. Now as Director of Taco Stand, an international sales consultancy business based out of Australia, when he's not helping brands improve, you can find him in the ocean chewing the fat with other like-minded souls about how great life is when they're riding waves. While surfing contributed to managing the stress of a corporate job, it was Chris's drive to pursue a balanced life that enabled him to take everything he learnt in the corporate world and apply it in a different way to design the career of his dreams. Between surfing and Chris's other passions, he has authored his first book, Froth & Hustle, a study into how life is enhanced by applying a surfer's mindset to life outside of the water. Monez is a Balinese illustrator, influenced by the fables of his childhood. While he began drawing at a young age, by the end of high school, he was called to a future in his family's garment business. After a short career in the factory office, Monez opposed family tradition and pursued a Master of Art at The Indonesian Institute of the Arts. He chose the road his grandfather, a painter, had taken. Inspired by Balinese culture and the folk-tales that drove his obsession with monsters, Monez developed a style called ""Fablelous"", a modern interpretation of his cultural traditions. Today Monez's work can be seen in many forms, from large-scale murals to characters in children's books, at exhibitions in Asia, Africa and the United States to collaborations with Apple, Disney and Starbucks, and as a featured artist on design apps Affinity Designer and Procreate to the apparel and stationery he sells under the brand MONSTERO.
