Natalie Schackis a writer and editor lucky enough to be born and raised on the island of Oahu. Her work has appeared inHONOLULU Magazine, Curbed, Hawai'i Business Magazine, Green Magazine, Hana Hou!, Flux Magazine,and many more. When she's not penning articles about the many marvelous facets of Hawaii's unique culture, food, art, and business scene, you'll find her rambling through the Koolau Mountains, swimming Oahu's south shores, and enjoying Honolulu city life with her husband and young son. Born and raised on O'ahu, Catherine Toth Fox is the editor of HAWAI'I Magazine. Prior to this, she was the food editor at HONOLULU Magazine and worked for 10 years as a newspaper reporter in Honolulu. She's been a freelance writer and journalism instructor for 20 years and recently published a children's book. If she's not writing, you can find her hiking, surfing or experimenting in the kitchen. She lives in Honolulu with her husband, son, dog, cat and two chickens.
