Lauren Kelly (Citizen Potawatomi) is a visual artist based in Oklahoma. Specializing in acrylic painting, she is best known for her distinctive style characterized by busy, asymmetrical deviations on traditional floral and woodland designs and dreamy, semi-surreal figures. Her work explores themes of women and femininity, body autonomy, the interior of the human psyche, and ancestral connection. Outside of her work as an artist, Lauren serves her local arts community and the broader Native community with various organizations as a project manager, mentor, committee member, and grant reviewer.
