Growing up in rural Missouri, Jim Kissock's childhood was anything but idyllic. Between his alcoholic father's abuse, his parents' divorce, and being trapped in a home dominated by violence and fear, Jim faced seemingly insurmountable odds from an early age. Yet, through a remarkable journey of resilience, courage, and faith after leaving home at fourteen, his life became a testament to the extraordinary power of grace and redemption.

This unforgettable memoir invites readers into Jim's powerful story-filled with heartache and healing, turmoil and triumph. From a childhood marred by violence to an adulthood touched by divine intervention, Jim reveals how God's provision and protection transformed a broken past into a life abundant with purpose, love, and unexpected joys.

With unflinching honesty, gentle wisdom, some humor, and moments of hope, Jim shares the healing power of forgiveness and the means of preventing the replication of abuse in adulthood. Above all, his inspiring, patriotic journey reminds us that no matter how painful the past, a life filled with blessings is within reach by the grace of God.
