ABBEY'S BOOKSELLER PICK ----- The first edition of this fine guide to birding locations came out in 2014, but such is the pace of natural disasters, shrinking habitat and changes to avifauna populations, a second edition is necessary. There are nearly 30 new locations though, as well as updating areas recommended in the first. It's designed for birders of all abilities, so those relatively new to the past-time can choose a region/place and be informed as to what they could reasonably see. But it's also good for the birder who is seeking to add a targeted species to their lists! Divided into two main sections, the largest describes best birding sites in the states and territories, then the second is an annotated bird-finding guide. Plenty of photographs of habitat and birds, maps and good informative text make this a valuable addition to any birder's collection! Lindy
