Steve Cavanagh was born and raised in Belfast before leaving for Dublin at the age of eighteen to study Law. He currently practices civil rights law and has been involved in several high profile cases; in 2010 he represented a factory worker who suffered racial abuse in the workplace and won the largest award of damages for race discrimination in Northern Ireland legal history. He holds a certificate in Advanced Advocacy and lectures on various legal subjects (but really he just likes to tell jokes). He is married with two young children. Steve Cavanagh's writing is intelligent, sophisticated and tense, his plots executed with forensic attention to detail. I can't get enough of Eddie Flynn. * Mari Hannah * Absolutely brilliant. Addictive, clever, pacy. Eddie Flynn is one of my heroes. * Jo Spain * Brilliant - a characteristically twisty courtroom puzzle with some thrilling setpieces. * Mason Cross * Cavanagh/Flynn is the best legal tag-team since Connelly/Haller. * Craig Sisterson * Eddie's back! Steve Cavanagh writes the best hooks in the business. * Mick Herron * Very clever, darkly funny, moving, fast-paced, and Eddie Flynn is a terrific character. * Jane Casey * Unpredictable, daring and completely compelling. Top notch writing. If you thought Thirteen was good - and it really was - this is somehow even better. * Alex North, author of The Whisper Man * A terrific writer. He has talent to burn. * Don Winslow *
