Valerie Wilding (Author) Valerie Wilding is a Londoner who now lives on the edge of a small market town in Hampshire. Val was an infant teacher for many years, then a school librarian, but writing took over and that's how she spends her days. Val started her writing career with lots of short stories for BBC radio and TV, and has now written over eighty books. She writes fiction, non-fiction and narrative non-fiction for all ages, and likes to bring a touch of humour to everything she does, especially history, which is her passion. Pauline Reeves (Illustrator) Pauline is a Devon based illustrator, living by the sea. She specialises in children's literature. Following her passion, Pauline graduated from Plymouth College of Art with a First Class Honours, BA in illustration. She takes inspiration from the funny and endearing things animals and people do everyday as well as the superb imagination that children have. Pauline works with lino, charcoal and coloured pencils to create quirky illustrations with humour and charm.
