If one considers that the purpose of human life might be to bow in awe before the magnificence of the Creative Force through which we have been created, and to align with that Power and Beauty in service of all that is around us, doing the deeds of wholeness and reconciliation, acknowledging the Oneness of Being, as we marvel at all the Beauty and Power displayed within Creation, then these poems can teach us how to become more fully human, to fulfill the covenant of our existence, supporting each of us in our own realignment with our Source.

Each exaltation arises organically from a deep appreciation of the natural world-its wondrous flora and fauna, its vast elemental cycles, and its intricate designs. At the same time, these poems act as an open window through which we catch the fragrance of the Divine Beloved, whose Presence is everywhere and vibrating through all that is-opening further awareness of the beautiful and powerful Qualities of Divine Reality that are woven together to manifest all of existence. These moments of Exaltation, of witnessing to that Power and Beauty, invite us to partake of a spiritual banquet that is continually being provided from the Unseen, pouring into this visible realm. We are reminded that we have been given the capacity to receive, eyes to see and ears to hear the intimate songs of the Beloved resonating everywhere.

You are always with us.

We seek and seek until

You find us,

and we know

You have never left,

but are always right here, beside us,

within us,

looking when we look,

listening when we listen,

speaking when we call Your Name,

and answering us by Heart . . .

Truly, God is the Infinitely Subtle, All-Aware.
