Jill Stewart is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Health and Housing at Middlesex University, London. She is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, a Fellow of both the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health and the Royal Geographical Society, and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Her research interests particularly include effective housing and health interventions. Zena Lynch currently teaches at the University of Birmingham on Postgraduate Public and Environmental Health courses. She is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, as well as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

The book is an easy read, but retains academic robustness. It covers a wide housing and health-related subject matter. It is a great source of reference material and provides some good strategic and historical oversight. The authors have had a challenging task, given the need to balance having sufficient content with not repeating other reference sources...
