Engr Muhammad Zakir Shaikh is an accomplished and a young professional, currently serving as the Director of the National Center for Robotics, Automation and Artificial Intelligence at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. He is doing research on Fault Diagnosis of Rail Wheel Profiles via Deep Learning whose main aim is to reduce Railway Accidents across the globe and to improve the overall infrastructure and system of Railway Transportation. Currently, he is doing Cotutella(Joint PhD) after which he will be honored with two PhD Degrees. One in Electronics Engineering by Mehran University and the other PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Efficiency by University of Malaga. He is originally a faculty member of Electronics Engineering and currently also working as a Business Development Manager at the Higher Education Commission’s National Center for Robotics and Automation-Condition Monitoring Systems Lab at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. He is also working as President of QS ImpACT Pakistan to implement United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals along with various Charity and Voluntary works. Under his Leadership as the President of QS ImpACT Pakistan, He won the Overall Biggest Impact Award for the year 2022. Under his Leadership, Pakistan received the award of Best Council for the work on Sustainable Development Goals in the year 2022. Muhammad Zakir Shaikh is also a renowned motivational speaker. He has been a great motivation and a source of inspiration for the youth and many people across the globe. Notably, Muhammad Zakir Shaikh has represented Pakistan on the international stages, earning accolades such as the ""I am a Mover, Shaker and Change-Maker"" award and also represented the Youth and Pakistan at United Nations HQ in New York. He was the sole Pakistani recipient of the fully funded award to participate and represent Pakistan at the Global Youth Conference 2023 which was held in Casablanca, Morocco. Recently, he has been conferred with the PEC Engineering Excellence Award in the Category of Young Technopreneur for the year of 2023. He was also Honored with the Excellence Award for outstanding contributions and great services towards Technological Research, Modernizing Academic Learning, and Capacity Building in the Higher Education CENTRAL Project at Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand. He has also secured first Position in the International Unity 3D Competition held at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. He was also Co-PI of the project which has received funding of 1.5 Million from the Sindh Higher Education Commission under the Sindh Research Support Program. Besides that, he has already worked as a Research Associate to complete/implement the project titled ""Design and Implementation of Intelligent Energy Efficient Industrial Process Control System Using Conveyor Belts via Robotic Arm"", a Fully Funded Project of the Pakistan Science Foundation. He has been declared as the Star Laureate 2011 for outstanding achievements in the field of Science and Technology by South Asian Publications. He has broken the historic record by getting Two gold medals simultaneously in 27 IEEEP All Pakistan Students Seminar for securing 1 position in one research paper and second position in the other paper. He is also working as the Focal Person of PRIDE (Public Relations Image Building for Development and Excellence) for positive image building and to highlight the contributions of individuals contributing towards society. He has expertise in Carbon Literacy training Programs and Actions related to Climate Change. He is also looking after all the media platforms of EU-funded Erasmus Plus Capacity Building Project CENTRAL, EU-funded Erasmus Plus ACTIVE Climate Action Project and EU-funded Erasmus Plus Project on Digital Twin Technology namely CATCH VR. Currently He is also working as a Researcher in EU Funded Capacity Building in Higher Education ACTIVE Climate Action Project at University of Malaga, Spain. Besides having several certifications, He has also won several awards and competitions. He is also a Professional member of PEC. He is also a member of IEEE and IEEEP. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Master’s degree in Electronic Systems Engineering in 2013 and 2015 respectively from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. Besides being a great motivational speaker, He has won various debates and speech competitions and has been invited as a Guest Speaker and Keynote Speaker at various well-reputed platforms nationally and internationally. He has also many top-notch research publications in well-reputed National and International Journals. Besides that, he has been providing and teaching students for free and has done many charity works to help many people. Currently, Mr Zakir is working as a Researcher at University of Malaga, Spain. For his PhD research, he was selected as an Erasmus Plus PhD Exchange Scholar from Mehran UET to study and conduct his research at the University of Malaga, Spain for five months. He was also honored with the Academic Excellence Award for Outstanding Contributions in Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Future and Sustainable Development Goals in the year 2022. He has also been a Judge of QS Reimagine Education Awards. He is also the co-author of the Book Academia Reengineering-Renovating, Innovating, and Elevating the Higher Education Institutions. Samreen Hussain is among the founding members of Sindh Higher Education Commission. Member Federal Higher Education Commission & First Female Elected member of Governing Body of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the discipline of Electronic Engineering. During her tenure of above Chancellor Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, she with her little team established a state of the Art Tent City for flood affectees during the unprecedented floods of 2022. The Tent City was solar powered, facilitated by RO Plant to use harvested rain water for drinking, make female Lavatories, School and Medical Care. Every tent was provided with pedestal fan, light, Cutlery, crockery, complete hygiene kit, school books and stationery. The tent city helped district Rohri to resume routine teaching and learning in 07 schools which were housing the flood affected families. She has authored two books (Academia Reengineering: Renovating, Innovating and Elevating the Higher Education Institutions and Women of Wisdom: Navigating the Path towards Women's Educational Excellence). Established Centre of Entrepreneurship Management and Emerging Technologies (CEMET) in Rohri as a pilot project to materialise the triple helix concept with the support of Sukkur Chamber of Commerce & Industries & District Council Sukkur. She had also established the Faculty of Information and Computing Science (I&CS) in District Central, Karachi in less than 06 months to utilize the infrastructure of a dormant school. She has the Unique record of being the first ever Female Vice Chancellor of any Engineering University in Pakistan ever in the history. She is the recipient of ""PEC Engineers' Excellence Award - 2022, (Engineering Policy, Regulations and Advocacy)"" and ""National Engineering Excellence Award"" by Institute of Engineers, Pakistan (IEP). She has received more than 200 citations in last two years. As a Convener Innovation & Entrepreneurship Committee Pakistan Engineering council she upgraded the division of PITC (Pakistan Innovation & Testing Centre) as Pakistan Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre with one window operation to facilitate engineering products manufacturing industry through establishment of Pakistan Innovation, Testing, calibration & certification centre. She was also awarded with prestigious civil award (TI) on the diamond jubilee of the Pakistan recognizing her invaluable services in the field of education and research. Currently, She is serving as the Vice Chancellor of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. Enrique Nava Baro finished his PhD thesis under supervision of Prof. J.M. Rebollar at Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain, on the design of circular waveguide polarizer devices on microwaves/millimeter waves to be used on communication satellite antennas. As a result, a new developed computer software, based on a full solution of electromagnetic equations, was able to predict polarizer behaviour with enough accuracy to be used for industrial optimization and design purposes. This software was the only one available at that time and was transferred to relevant research institutions and companies on that field for industrial use. He serves as Associate Professor (Profesor Titular de Universidad) at University of Málaga in 1994, focusing his research work on interdisciplinary applications of digital signal and image processing, with many collaborations on medical, chemical, biological, underwater and industrial fields. Since 1995, Dr Nava is head of the Andalusian research group ‘Radiological Image Digital Processing’ (TIC128), with eight post-doctoral researchers in Engineering and Medicine background. He has carried out several foreign research stays: Kurt Rossmann Lab (2000), at University of Chicago (USA), working on mammography computer-aided diagnosis algorithm development; at Institut für Technische Akustik (2011 and 2014) at RWTH (Aachen, Germany), working on advanced array processing techniques for location of acoustic sources; at University of New South Wales (UNSW@ADFA, 2012, Camberra, Australia) working in digital signal processing applied to biotremology in termites and ants; and on oceanographic research ships (Spanish Institute of Oceanography, IEO (MEDIAS campaign, 2015 and 2017), working on acoustics and digital image processing for fisheries research. Since some years ago, he had active collaborations in research with different national and international research groups: University of Malaga UMA Analytical Chemistry Group (pesticides in food quantification), Italian INFN-LNF group (X-ray microtomography new prototype), Romanian LAPI at Polytechnic University of Bucharest group (digital image processing), Prof. Moreno-Torres at UMA (acoustic phonetics applied to medical applications), several Pakistan universities (image and signal processing), Photonic Sensors and Algorithms (3D imaging) and LAV University of Cadiz group (underwater acoustics). In recent years, he has been actively involved in many projects for innovative teaching and internationalization, serving as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Strategical Projects at University of Málaga.
