Dr. Maulin P. Shah is Chief Scientist and Head of the Industrial Waste Water Research Lab, Division of Applied and Environmental Microbiology Lab at Enviro Technology Ltd., Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India. His work focuses on the impact of industrial pollution on the microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation-dependent and cultivation-independent analysis. His major work involves isolation, screening, identification, and genetically engineering high-impact microbes for the degradation of hazardous materials. His research interests include biological wastewater treatment, environmental microbiology, biodegradation, bioremediation, and phytoremediation of environmental pollutants from industrial wastewaters. Dr Deepanwita Deka received her BSc degree (2009) and MSc degree (2011) in botany, with a specialization in microbiology, from Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam, India. She earned her MPhil and PhD degree in 2013 and 2020 respectively, from the Microbial Ecology Laboratory, Department of Botany, Gauhati University. She competently worked on plant and pharmaceutical microbiology during her MPhil and PhD research. She is an active researcher and her research interests cover mainly, plant-microbe interactions, agricultural microbiology, pharmaceutical microbiology, environmental microbiology, bioremediation, and myco-nanoparticles. Dr Deka has received many scholarships, awards, and fellowships during her education. She has many publications, including a number of national and international journals and books (Elsevier, Springer, CRC Press etc.), covering her interest in various aspects of microbiology
