Marjorie Crosby-Fairall is an internationally published illustrator of over twenty children’s books. She has loved picture book illustrations since she was a little girl when she often escaped to the library to pour over books and examine the illustrations in detail. Encouraged by her creative family, she gained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. Her books appear on the Premier’s Reading Challenge lists and have been shortlisted and won awards, including the CBCA Eve Pownall Award for her first picture book. She was the 2022 recipient of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Don Freeman Illustration Award and SCBWI Work of Outstanding Progress Award for Emmie Build Something New when it was in development. She is the regional illustrator coordinator for SCBWI Australia East and lives in Sydney, Australia, though she originally hails for the United States.
