Sherry's extraordinary journey began in Bolivia, where she grew up as a missionary kid, fostering independence and a passion for global exploration. Her adventurous childhood included frolicking in riverbanks, learning Spanish, and flying in Cessnas to visit her parents in the jungle. This unique upbringing led to a career as an international flight attendant, traveling to over 60 countries. In 2001, after 9/11, Sherry moved to Italy to study Italian, later attending the Brooks Institute of Photography in California. She photographed events like the iconic Primal Quest Adventure Race and attended a travel writing workshop with Don George. Her own 2013 beach elopement in St. Croix inspired her to capture couples' love stories in breathtaking destinations like Glacier National Park and Assateague Island, pioneering adventure elopements before they became a trend. A participant in the transformative Dirty Boots and Messy Hair workshop in 2019, Sherry combined her travel, photography, and storytelling expertise to champion full-day adventure elopements. She also supports Diakonos International Inc., an orphanage in Haiti. Sherry lives near Boston with her husband, Chris, and their two cats.
