Irmhild Foessl naci� en Waldenburg, Silesia en 1940. Despu�s del reasentamiento, vivi� en Alemania de 1947 a 1965. Durante una visita a Viena en 1964, conoci� a su marido, con quien se cas� en 1965 y vivi� en Viena desde entonces. Con �l, m�sico de orquesta, tiene tres hijos, cinco nietos y ahora cuatro bisnietos, quienes la inspiraron a crear los poemas y dibujos de El Pa�s de los Ni�os. Irmhild Foessl was born in Waldenburg, Silesia in 1940. After resettlement, she lived in Germany from 1947 to 1965. During a visit to Vienna in 1964, she met her husband, whom she married in 1965 and has lived in Vienna ever since. With him, an orchestral musician, she has three children, five grandchildren and now four great-grandchildren, who inspired her to create the poems and drawings for El Pa�s de los Ni�os.
