Are you an executive of your company but had always wanted to start a business in the United States? There is a way to accomplish your goal. The EB-1C Multinational Executives and Managers Visa was created for this purpose to allow Multinational Executives and Managers who already have an existing company overseas and are interested in starting an extension of their overseas business in the United States. This visa also allows overseas companies to expand their businesses to the United States by permitting the overseas company to transfer Executives and Managers with an intimate knowledge of the company's operations to help with the start-up of the company.

This Visa is much better than the EB-5 Investment Visa as it requires MUCH less money to invest. Additionally, it allows a full Green Card to be issued, not just a conditional Green Card. Finally, there are no backlogs for this preference of petition.

Do you currently have your own business in your home country? Do you want to open a business in the United States? Have you already received the L-1 Nonimmigrant Visa? That would be the initial basis for you to apply for this type of investment visa. Note that the actual investment for this type of visa is much smaller than the EB-5 Investor Visa. Additionally, there is no necessity for a treaty with the foreign country such as with an E-2 Investment Visa or E-1 Treaty-Trader Visa.

While it would be better and more effective to use an experienced attorney, it is clear that many times people just do not have the funds to retain an attorney.
