If we sneak in to Bentley’s party and present an undeniable routine of wrestling excellence, everyone will see. We’ll lay the foundations for the rest of our lives. Not as dweebs, but as heroes.

Kemi and Norah are mega-nerds through and through. They think they know a lot about... everything! But when popular boy Bentley refuses to invite them to his wrestling-themed party, they discover, to their horror, that he thinks they are dweebs! It turns out that they have a lot to learn – especially about wrestling. Together, they secretly launch a plan to become champion wrestlers, crash Bentley’s party, and prove to everyone that they are, in fact, extremely cool.

Dweeb-A-Mania is a punchy, powerful new comedy for ages 8-13 years which celebrates being exactly who you want to be. Get ready for flying kicks, body slams and a mind-blowing number of barbecued chickens!

Dweeb-A-Mania was the winner of the Polka Playwriting Award 2025 in partnership with Methuen Drama, Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. This edition was published to coincide with the production at Polka Theatre in October 2025.

A play about friendship and girl power. Fun from beginning to end ... A great play if looking for a script for a smaller group. * Drama and Theatre Magazine *
