The construction industry, in addition to being responsible for more than half of the solid urban waste generated, is still considered the largest individual consumer of natural resources. The impacts caused by this industry have motivated research aimed at developing new techniques for reusing and recycling construction waste to manufacture alternative materials and encourage sustainable development. Among the alternative materials, soil-lime bricks have advantages such as simplicity of production, compressive strength similar to conventional bricks, and no need for firing. The incorporation of construction debris into soil-lime bricks is feasible because, when finely ground, this waste has cementitious properties and can replace part of the lime used in the material. However, to ensure the reliability of these new materials, it is essential to evaluate their durability.
