Placing traditional African thinking and indigenous knowledge systems at the centre of the analysis, this book shines new light on the distinctive characteristics of African sporting cultures, doping practices, the management of anti- doping, and new methods for preventing doping in sports that take into account African value systems. Yamikani Ndasauka is Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Malawi. His research interests are philosophy, applied ethics, and mental health. He is also Editor of the Journal of Humanities. Simon Mathias Makwinja is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Malawi. His research falls broadly within African philosophy. His research interests are in the African thought and value systems.
