Alfredo Herrero de Haro holds a B.A. in English (Universidad de Almeria, Spain), a Diploma in Advanced Studies (UNED, Spain) and a PhD in Linguistics (cum laude) from UNED (Spain). He spent eight years in the UK teaching Spanish as a foreign language in secondary schools, at a Sixth Form college and as a part-time tutor at the Centre for Modern Languages of the University of Birmingham. Since 2013, he has been lecturing at the University of Wollongong (Australia). His research focuses on phonetics, phonology, language variation and the acquisition of Spanish pronunciation by students of Spanish as a foreign language. To date, he has published over 20 research papers and nine educational resources for students of Spanish as a foreign language.
