Piotr Łasak (PhD, Hab.) is Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. His research, publication, and teaching activities focus on banking, corporate finance, and international finance. The main research topics are financial markets development; banking regulation and supervision; mechanisms of economic, financial, and currency crises; and shadow banking system development. Among his research interests is the development of the Chinese financial market. His current main research area concerns financial technology (FinTech) and the transformation of the banking sector as a direct consequence of digitalization and the influence of financial technologies. He is the author of several publications on this subject. Sławomir Wyciślak (PhD) is Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics, Finance and Management, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. His research, publication, and teaching activities focus on system approach applications in social science, digital technologies’ implications for complex systems, risk management, and supply chain management. The current main research area is digital platforms navigation. Parallel to his academic career, Slawomir Wyciślak has worked on digitization projects in multinational companies.
