Digital Logic Design introduces students to the core principles of digital systems and the design of digital logic. The textbook explains the fundamental operations within digital circuits, employing various integrated circuit technologies, such as small-scale integration (SSI) and large-scale integration (LSI), to illustrate increasingly advanced logic architectures. Emphasis is placed on Boolean functions and their implementation using basic gates like AND, OR, and NOT, as well as the application of universal gates.

The text dives into concepts essential for engineering digital systems, including Boolean algebra, Karnaugh Maps (K-Maps), the Quine-McCluskey method, and Finite State Machines (FSMs). It discusses sequential logic design, the roles of flip-flops and latches in creating memory devices, and shifting information with shift registers. Practical components such as decoders, multiplexers, and De Morgan's Theorems are explored in detail, providing students with the competence to design and analyze complex digital circuits.

Digital Logic Design is ideal for undergraduate courses in digital systems, logic design, and related fields in electrical engineering and computer science.
