""The way the author honestly shares his struggles shows how much he cares about the success of the student reader."" ""I was a first-gen college student 20 years ago, (can't believe I'm that old) reading this book brought back all the feels - made me laugh, cry, feel inspired, reminded me of the doubts and worries I felt back then. I wish a book like this would have been around to know that everything I was going through was perfectly normal and I was just walking the path of almost every other first-gen grad.""
