Focussing on delirium in elderly care, this book uses up to date research, practical examples and case studies to raise awareness of the condition, particularly among carers of people with dementia. By following the mantra 'Suspect it, Spot it and Stop it', the book will help to prevent people suffering from it.

Providing an overview of delirium, this book shows how to identify the condition, offers simple measures that can help alter outcomes and improve the experiences of people with delirium. It will also provide information on how to manage the condition. The chapters will be easy to understand for the general population as well as general health care students and staff. A guide will also be included in how to set up local delirium awareness programs and training.
