Auctor pervestigat naturam foederis matrimonialis, momentum consensus, atque impedimenta quae validitatem afficere possunt, omnia secundum traditionem scholasticam et ius canonicum vigens.
Hic textus non solum de aspectibus legalibus agit, sed etiam de gratia sacramentali et de sanctitate vitae familiaris disserit. Per hanc lucubrationem, Salmon lectoribus praebet instrumentum necessarium ad intellegendam divinam institutionem matrimonii eiusque partes in mysterio salutis. ""DE MATRIMONII Sacramento"" manet fons pretiosus pro theologis, iurisperitis, et omnibus qui veritatem de sacramento coniugii in traditione catholica quaerunt.
