Shannon Amidon is the founder and director of The Verdancy Project, a multidisciplinary, community-rooted arts and ecology initiative based in the Pacific Northwest. Through this multi-faceted endeavour, which includes an artist-in-residence program, creative workshops, research initiatives, and community art projects, she cultivates spaces for curiosity, connection, and environmental stewardship. An artist, beekeeper, environmental steward, and wonder seeker, Shannon has participated in artist residencies around the world, focusing on both art-making and ecological research. She has collaborated with scientists, artists, activists, and researchers across disciplines, and her work has been exhibited internationally in both solo and group exhibitions.
