Deborah Mitchell Robinson is a retired 27-year professor of criminal justice at Valdosta State University. Based on her doctoral dissertation and school-related crime prevention research, she developed crime prevention courses for the undergraduate and graduate programs at Valdosta State. She holds a B.S. in public relations from the University of Florida and M.S. and Ph.D. in criminology from Florida State University. Douglas Neil Robinson is a senior lecturer of criminal justice at Valdosta State University. He is a veteran of U.S.M.C. and retired 23-year law enforcement officer, having worked in state and local law enforcement and in local corrections. He holds a B.S. in criminology from Florida State University and M.S. in criminal justice from Valdosta State.
