Malene Barnett is a multidisciplinary artist and textile designer and the founder of the Black Artists + Designers Guild, a global platform and community of independent Black artists, makers, and designers. Barnett's work has been featured in major publications such as Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and more. Barnett exhibits nationally, gives talks and publishes work raising awareness around Caribbean makers and ceramic art traditions of the Black diaspora. She has Caribbean roots in St. Vincent and Jamaica and currently lives in Brooklyn.
