"Julie Wartell is Continuing Lecturer in the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the University of California, San Diego and an independent advisor to governmental agencies and communities relating to analyzing crime problems, neighborhood safety, and the geography and economics of breweries. Julie currently teaches ""GIS for Urban and Community Planning,"" ""Craft Breweries and the Urban Economy,"" ""Crime Prevention through Environmental Design,"" and ""Crime Analysis Research Methods,"" and her research, training, and writing have been used in communities around the world. Julie has a master’s degree in public administration from San Diego State University as well as a postgraduate diploma in applied criminology and police management from the University of Cambridge. In her spare time, Julie also runs PubQuest, a brewery mapping company. Vince Vasquez is the executive director of the Policycraft Institute, an independent economic and public policy think tank based in Carlsbad, California. Vince has more than 18 years of experience in public policy research and analysis and has authored six studies on the craft brewing industry in San Diego County. Vince specializes in state and regional economic and workforce research, political analysis, and geographic information systems. Currently, Vince serves as the Director of Government Relations for National University, a non-profit, veteran-founded university based in San Diego, California, and has been affiliated with the University since 2009. Vince has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, San Diego, and a master's in business administration from National University."
