Sitting with Sussan the host and listening to George talk about his life, loves and music became more than what I expected. We talked about Olivia, Dhani his son and The Traveling Wilburys but there was more than just the discussion about these moments in a famous life. There was George's sense of humor.

George has a dry sense of humor, straight forward, tells it how he sees it, funny and understanding of his own short comings. We could not help but like him. He talks generously about Olivia his loyal and forgiving wife, Patty Boyd and Eric Clapton. I hope, as I did, you will laugh and cry all in one sentence.

George Harrison grew up in post war Liverpool, England, a grey, depressing industrial sprawl of factories and working class neighborhoods. With an unknown future he began his life as an electrical apprentice at the local store. However, he discovered his passion for the magic of music and what it could bestow on him. It empowered him and spoke of possibilities beyond his current world. Then one day, as if it was meant to be, he met Paul McCartney on a local bus and the rest is history.
