Born in Los Angeles, California (1947), John Louis Thomas grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. He returned to Los Angeles before retiring in 2009, then relocated to New Mexico in 2017. For twenty-five years, he's been a member in good standing of Christian Reformed churches. During the pandemic of 2020, church attendance was suspended and hasn't resumed yet. Single. No children. Ketogenic diet since 2012. He is an advocate of the ""Rewrite the Bible by Hand"" project, having completed all twenty-seven books of the New Testament in 2020. Incomplete writings from Genesis to 2 Samuel exist. He has completed writings from Genesis to Deuteronomy and 1 Kings to Malachi. Currently, he is rewriting the Book of Joshua (2024).
