Reflection on Diana's Memoir By Dr. Joyce Maguire Pavao www.pavaoconsulting.com ""The biggest problem with Diana's memoir is that it is so mesmerizing, it feels like a fantastical script. While you are being taken on a beautifully written and exciting tour of her life and times, please remember-this is Diana's real, true life. All of the drama and beautiful writing are an art form-a vessel-that holds trauma, pain, sorrow, guilt, loss, and anger, along with the joy and the gifts revealed in her beautiful book. No one should have to go through so much to find their truth. To reveal their true self. To make sense of a complicated and painful set of circumstances. No one should have to be faced with lies and misinformation to get to the crux of their true self and identity. Read this beautiful book-but promise that you will remember: Diana is real."" - Dr. Joyce Maguire Pavao - Massachusetts - April 2025 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ""This book was mesmerizing, every chapter a cliffhanger. It reads like a colorful novel with intrigues spanning Hollywood, the Mafia, the CIA and even Communist Cuba! Her descriptions of locales and characters were so vivid I could ""see"" the scenery, ""smell"" the coffee and felt I knew these people intimately. Despite the gravity of the subject matter (the international criminal trafficking of babies for ""adoption"") as told by a survivor, somehow the author maintains a compassionate, hopeful perspective throughout. I found myself frustrated and nearly in despair at times as she was stymied by one obstacle after another in her quest for the truth. Yet I knew she would not accept defeat! Incredibly brave, the epitome of persistence, with the intuition and sharp intelligence of the best private investigator, the author tells the TRUE story of her search for her origins - compelled by her love of family, known and unknown, and the mystery of a beautiful, young woman she sees reflected in the mirror. I simply could not put this book down until I'd turned the very last page and was left yearning for a sequel."" - Mary Scott - Tennessee - March 2025 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ""As a fellow late-discover adopted person, I can understand the upheaval that happens to your life and identity when you learn you aren't who you thought you were. I can also understand the strong desire to find out more about where you came from. Diana's tenacity and perseverance is inspirational. When faced with tremendous obstacles she carries on her quest to learn more. This memoir is a page turner full of adventure, twists and turns. I am a slower reader and found it hard to put this book down because I wanted to see what could possibly happen next. Thank you Diana for sharing your story with the world."" - Heather DH - New Jersey - June 2025 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
