Jayne Comins was a speech and language therapist and analytical psychologist. She worked in various London hospitals and in private practice, and made frequent media appearances in her role as information officer for the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Jayne died at the age of forty-nine in 2006. Phil Goddard is a freelance editor and translator. He grew up in Croydon, went to Jesus College, Cambridge, and now lives in Pensacola, Florida. He was married to Jayne Comins. Felicity Llewellyn qualified as a speech and language therapist in 1976, and worked in a variety of settings in London until 1983. She then moved to Dorset and worked as a paediatric therapist, retiring in 2016. Judy Offiler retired in 2017 after a thirty-eight-year career as a speech and language therapist. In her final posts in South Tees, she worked with children and adults with severe learning disabilities. She is now enjoying life in North Yorkshire.
