Jacob D Nuttall grew up in South Wales, a rock climbing Mecca. Its varied and rugged landscape offers a giddying array of outdoor climbs. Unfortunately he didn't discover climbing for another 25 years and where he lives now is flat as a pancake. Nevertheless, he can often be found dragging himself up the walls of an indoor climbing centre, or further afield outdoors in the UK when it isn't raining (it's always raining). His first book, ""Climb! A Guide to High Adventure"" was written on an appallingly slow laptop, and illustrated using a digital application and an Apple pencil that his dog had chewed to a fine mulch. He has since invested in a speedier laptop and the pencil still seems to work. He writes in his spare time and has a considerable number of unfinished works littered around the household. He will seek to release these one by one in-between a never ending list of menial chores, outstanding DIY, and general life 'stuff'.
Probably the best and most entertaining instructional book I've had the pleasure of reading. It is refreshingly different to anything else out there and a definite must if you want to learn or know more about climbing and having fun on rock. 'Tony Lourens, Editor SA Mountain, South Africa's dedicated climbing magazine' A must read for all those getting started in climbing and a brilliant introduction to the many techniques and complexities needed to help your journey to climbing mastery. 'Jon Redshaw, GB Climbing Coach, UK' Chock-full of helpful advice, delivered in a light hearted and humorous fashion. Everything you'll need to know to go from armchair enthusiast to a ROCK WARRIOR is right here. 'Guy Davenport, Head Coach White Spider Climbing Squad, UK' Something the climbing industry was lacking! An excellent and conclusive guide for beginner climbers! 'Robin O'Leary, Co-founder with US Boulder Champion Alex PUCCIO of ROAP Performance Climbing Coaching, USA. Of great benefit to not only beginner climbers, but also intermediate climbers who wish to 'fill in the gaps' in their knowledge or who are looking for new avenues of exploration 'David Wolhuter, Boulder Shack Climbing Gym, UK.
