A go-to resource for teaching child development that is comprehensive and learner-centric. Incorporating the latest research and empirical studies, this evidence-based text also places a strong emphasis on real-life examples, practical applications, and other helpful pedagogical features which facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject and helps students to relate theoretical concepts to the real world. Crucially, Child Development acknowledges that the subject is influenced by cultural, social, and environmental factors; and incorporates examples and discussions that reflect these cultural variations. This approach will help students appreciate the multicultural dimensions of child development. * Linda Jose, Newcastle University * Child Development is an up-to-date book that covers key elements such as diversity, culture and technology without forgetting the conceptual side of the field and their key concepts.
