Andrea Oerter is a reconverted graphic designer, now part time freelance illustrator, born and based in Brussels. She has a very classic academic background, but has always liked to paint and draw on the side. Her childhood and lifestyle are her main inspirations for her art, and her style is influenced by comic drawing, as this is how she initially learned to draw. She likes to use bright colours, and draw characters in everyday life situations, surrounded by nature and optimism. She likes the idea of conveying a sense of innocence and sweetness in what she does. She works from home in the heart of Brussels, which she shares with her partner and their cat. So far, she has worked as an illustrator in the editorial, digital and advertising fields, for brands and projects linked to childhood, body positivity, motherhood and more.
