THEODOR RICHARDSON is the Online Program Director and Interim Chair for the Information Technology Department at a private university. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering with a concentration in multimedia and image processing. Charles Thies has a successful track record as an IT executive in business and with the DOD, and is currently an instructor at Tulane University.
This guide teaches the skills for building multimedia presentations that include screen-captured software-based tutorials, demonstrations, and lectures using Camtasia Studio, as well as using Snagit for screen capturing and image editing and Jing to make video presentations that can be uploaded to a computer or the internet. It covers planning and preparation, including scripts and storyboarding, equipment, and recording techniques; Camtasia's menus and interfaces, screen capturing, and recording with PowerPoint; editing; and producing and sharing. The DVD contains about 30 tutorial videos, project practice files, images in color, and sample video creations.
