He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine, the American Board of Anesthesia and American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians and serves as a Board of Director for the latter. Richard D. Urman is a staff anesthesiologist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts. He currently serves as Associate Chair for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, as well as Medical Director of Sedation for Interventional Medicine, Director, Center for Perioperative Research (C.P.R.), and Perioperative Medicine Fellowship Director.
