Dominique Barbier was a student of the legendary Mestre Nuno Oliveira. He teaches all over the world and is now based in Healdsburg, California at Barbier Farm, where he trains and teaches with his wife Debra. He has written many books including Dressage for the New Age, The Alchemy of Lightness, Riding with Oliveira, published by Trafalgar Square Books, and now, Broken or Beautiful published by Xenophon Press. She moved to Sun Valley, Idaho to be a working student with Dominque and remained there. She has trained several of her own horses, including Castano, Selle Français, Reitor de Quintana, Lusitano from Brazil and now shares her life with Generoso Interagro, Lusitano from Brazil.
